Throughout the month of April Central Illinois Foodbank teamed up with Walmart and Feeding America to provide meals nationwide for those in need.

Public Relations Manager for Central Illinois Foodbank Ashley Earnest says this is the fifth year of the campaign.

Earnest says Central Illinois Foodbank worked with 20 different Walmarts in the area and in total brought in just under $100,000.

This is not an annual campaign but Earnest says she is hopeful that Central Illinois Foodbank will team up with Walmart again next year and maybe get above $100,000.
