Shelby County Students Getting Early Start on Ag Education

Shelby County students get an early start on agriculture education thanks to Shelby County Ag Literacy instructor Kathleen Agney.

Agney appeared as a guest on the Newstalk WTIM Morning Show live from our downtown Shelbyville studios. She says there are many ways to teach kids about the importance of agriculture.

Agney says it’s her mission to make sure Shelby County kids know the importance of agriculture to everyone.

She says programs like 4-H and FFA are also very important in reinforcing the importance of agriculture as students get older.
