To continue her commitment to support the needs of veterans, state Rep. Sue Scherer, D-Decatur, introduced legislation to help disabled veterans receive prosthetics. Scherer introduced House Bill 3768, to provide veterans with grants to update and replace existing prosthetics. Scherer tells Regional Radio if passed, residents would be able to make a tax deductible donation to the Veterans Prosthetics Fund on their individual income tax forms.
