Christian County CEO Student Application Deadline March 2

width=High school juniors from all over Christian County are being invited to apply for the first-ever Christian County "Creating Entrepreneurial Opportunities", or C-E-O, class to begin next school year. The student application deadline is March 2nd.

18 to 24 Christian County high school seniors in the 2015-2016 school year, will participate in a 90-minute daily class that provides real world experience and increases the capacity for creative thinking and problem-solving through meeting the challenges of starting and building a business. In the course of the year- long class, students will develop both a class business and an individual business, and write business plans to support them.

Class will be held in a non-school setting, and many class days will take place at area industries and businesses to learn about the many businesses in Christian County, and what they do.

Local investors, who also serve as guest instructors, fund the program. Every CEO student is paired with a mentor from the business community. CEO students will visit dozens of area businesses and learn from dozens of guest speakers.

There will be a blind selection process to pick those who will be in the first-ever class.

The student application form is available for download at christiancountyceo.com, or by contacting co-chairperson Dee Krueger at (217) 561-0578.
