An engineering bill from the City of Taylorville's engineering firm Greene and Bradford, raised the ire of a Taylorville aldermen Tuesday night.

Finance committee chairman Larry Budd questioned a 150-thousand dollar bill from the engineering firm, for work on a proposed 450-thousand dollar grant for storm sewer work. Budd said the bill was excessive when there's no guarantee the grant will be received.

Taylorville aldermen OK'd the payment to their engineer by a vote of 8 to nothing.
