Area Arrests/Accidents 2-11-15

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Amanda J. Klyber, 27, of Kincaid was arrested Tuesday for forging a document. Bond was set $10,000.

Shane A. Mosley, 40, of Taylorville was arrested Tuesday for meth precursor. Bond was set at $2,500.

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On Tuesday, Jessica L. Hebert, 26, of Sharpsburg was arrested for driving with a suspended license and possession of cannabis less than 30 grams.

Ashley L. Rockford, 30, of Taylorville was arrested for domestic battery and public intoxication.

ACCIDENTS:

On Tuesday, Abbey K. Corso, 36, of Taylorville was traveling South on Route 29 and was slowing down to turn onto Lake Drive. Kayla M. Traster, 24, of Decatur, who was behind Corso, did not stop in time and hit Corso causing damage. Both were able to drive from the scene.

Priscilla A. Griffin, 19, of Morrisonville was turning onto East Park Street from North Long Street. Lawrence D. Mizeur, 58, of Owaneco was heading west on East Park Street when Griffin pulled out in front of him causing an accident. Griffin received front driver side panel damage, and was towed away. Mizeur received front end damage and was able to drive away. Griffin was issued a citation for failure to stop.

On Saturday, Abbey A. Beaty, 20, of Nokomis was leaving the McDonald’s parking lot and struck Martin A. Newlin, 37, of Taylorville as he was traveling Eastbound on West Spresser.

On Saturday, Sheila K. Crowder, 54, of Stonington was driving West on Spresser while trying to turn right onto Cheney St. Crowder took a wide right turn and struck the front of Charles L. Clark, 70, of Taylorville. Clark was stopped at the light and said he noticed Crowder traveling very fast prior to hitting him. Clark and Crowder both received front damage. Crowder was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

On Friday, a vehicle in the name of Jamie E. Williamson was parked in the driveway of a residence located at 3900 East Lakeshore Drive. The vehicle appeared to have an issue with its brake and started rolling down the driveway. It rolled down the driveway and into a drainage ditch. It was later towed from the scene.
