After 25 years, a new voice for WTIM’s Morning Show will be taking over in April. Sam Wood, 22, of Lincoln, a soon-to-be graduate of Lincoln College's radio broadcasting program, has been named the new host of the Morning Show on Newstalk WTIM THE BIG 870 AM and 96-point-3 FM. Wood will fill the position being left by the upcoming retirement of long-time host Matt McLemore on April 2nd. McLemore spoke on the Morning Show about how he got started with WTIM.

Wood was introduced on Friday. He told listeners he’s ready to be the new voice of Taylorville.

Wood has journalism experience writing for newspapers in southern Illinois and Lincoln, as well as hosting a public affairs radio program on the Lincoln College radio station.
