The National Weather Service in Lincoln has continued its Winter Weather Advisory until 9 o'clock Monday morning.

A wintry mix of precipitation will continue into tonight across central IL while light rain in southeast IL this afternoon and early evening changes to light freezing rain and sleet later this evening and overnight.

Northern areas will see mostly light snow where 1 to 2 inches may accumulate with locally 2 to 3 inches north of Peoria. A mix of sleet and freezing rain is expected from along I-72 thru the I-70 corridor.

The more significant accumulation of ice will be from Charleston/Mattoon southeast toward I-70 where one to two tenths of ice may accumulate by dawn Monday. All the precipitation will push out of our area by late Monday morning.
