Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 12-17-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENT:

Brianna G. Casias, 16, of Pana, was traveling west on 330 North Road and hit standing water on the pavement and lost control. After regaining control, she applied the brakes and began to skid. She then left the brakes and re-applied them. She was unable to stop at the stop sign at 2500 East Rd. She then entered the intersection at 330 North Rd and 2500 East Rd. As she entered the intersection, Luke E. Epley, 47, of Pana, was north bound on 2500 East Rd. at approximately the same time and collided with Casias in the intersection. Epley did not have a stop sign. After the initial collision, the front end of Casias 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix slid to the north causing the drivers side of her vehicle to collide with the passenger side of Epley's 1998 Toyota Four Runner.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENT:

Sydney A. Koehne, 28, of traveling east on Route 48 near the intersection of Shumway Street. A deer ran into the roadway and collided with Koehne. The deer left the scene. Koehne was able to drive from the scene.
