U.S. Rep. Rodney Davis of Taylorville, a member of the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture, was named Chairman of the Subcommittee on Biotechnology, Horticulture, and Research for the 114th Congress.

Davis says he is honored to be selected to chair this subcommittee which considers legislation and matters vitally important to Illinois' agriculture industry.

U.S. House Committee on Agriculture Chairman-Elect K. Michael Conaway of Texas said Rodney Davis has proven himself to be a strong leader on agricultural issues during his first term.
