Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 12-3-14

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On December 1st at 4:30am, while on patrol officers observed a male driving a vehicle near Cheney Street. The male than left the scene walking north between the houses. James Burgess, of Taylorville, was located in the area of Franklin Street and Cheney Street and was arrested for driving while license were suspended/revoked. He was transported to the Taylorville Police Department, processed and released on a Notice to Appear.

On December 2nd, officers saw a vehicle who's registered owner had a suspended drivers license. Subsequent to investigation, Tasha R. Boehme was arrested for driving while license were suspended.

 

ACCIDENTS:

On November 26th, Serea A. Wright, of Assumption, was traveling east on County Road #6 and drifted slightly off onto the shoulder. She tried to correct and slid across the roadway, due to the snow, slid into a ditch on the north side of the road. Her 2002 Pontiac mini-van ended up on it's side in the ditch. Serea was towed from the scene.

On November 27th, Curt D. Rhodes, was traveling north in the 700 block of Briarchlff Road. Rhodes hit a slick spot in the roadway. He was unable to get out of the ditch by exiting through the property of a residence located at 740 Briarcliff Road, causing damage to the yard and driveway.

On November 26th, Yvonne Fletcher, of Taylorvi8lle, was traveling north on Cherokee Road and was approaching the bridge just before reaching the intersection of Cherokee Road and Route 48. Fletcher hit a slick spot in the roadway, slid into the ditch and struck several small trees before coming to a stop. Her 2007 4-door Dodge was towed from the scene.
