Midland Area Churches Sponsoring Angel Tree

Churches in the Midland Area of Christian County, are working together this holiday season with the South Fork School District, to sponsor the Midland Community Angel Tree.

Churches involved include the Midland United Methodist Church, St. Rita’s Catholic Church, Kincaid Church of God, and Kincaid Baptist Church.

The Angel Tree serves children ages 0-18 years of age. The Angel tree benefits children who would not otherwise receive gifts at Christmas, and is for children who reside in the communities of Bulpitt, Jeiseyville, Kincaid and Tovey. Last year, the Midland Community Angel Tree served 191 children.

Organizers want to remind the public that their unwrapped gifts can be dropped off at the Midland United Methodist Church November 17th thru the 20th, from 5-7 p.m. The church is located at 600 Tower Place, Kincaid. Families who are participating in the Angel Tree program can pick up their gifts at the church from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, December 13.

If you would like to help make a child’s Christmas brighter, you can adopt an Angel by contacting one of the participating churches listed below; or, individuals or businesses can make a cash contribution in care of the Angel Tree. Checks can be made payable to: Midland Community Angel Tree, c/o Midland United Methodist Church, 600 Tower Place, Kincaid, Illinois, 62540. Donations are used to buy gifts for Angels who do not get adopted. The Angel Tree is organized by all volunteers so 100% of your gift will go to benefit needy children and families.

For more information, please contact any of the participating churches.
