Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 11-5-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Aaron Steele, 21, or Riverton, was arrested on November 3 on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of methamphetamine, manufacturing material. Class II felony.

Ryan Kauzlarich, 47, of Decatur, was arrested on a bond forfeiture warrant for methamphetamine manufacturing. Class I felony.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On November 3, at approximately 12:26pm, the Taylorville Police Department was notified of a retail theft from Walmart. Loss Prevention reported a female failed to pay for a leaf blower and left the store, got into a blue colored Chevrolet and the area. They were able to get the license number on the vehicle. After a brief investigation, the officer was able to locate the suspect. She was identified as Amber Brown of Taylorville. She was arrested, transported to the Taylorville Police Department, processed and released.

On October 31, at approximately 3:46 pm, officers were dispatched to an accident in the 500 block of North Webster. Officers spoke with both drivers, Tiffany Fassero of Tovey and Eric Christians of Taylorville. Both said that there was traffic backed up and Christians was slowing for traffic. While Christians was stopping, Fassero tried to stop abruptly stop and rear ended Christians. Eric Christians was towed due to the crash and Tiffany Fassero was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Both Fassero and Christians refused medical treatment.

On November 4, William G. Ford, of Taylorville, was in a parking stall facing east. Ford went into the roadway and did a turn pulling out in front of Robert Stewart of Taylorville. Stewart said Ford pulled out in front of him and he could not stop in time and struck Ford in the rear end. Ford said he thought he hit a curb and left the scene of the accident. Ford was issued a citation for improper u-turn.
