A Taylorville family physician is in trouble with the law again. Dr. Vernon Klinefelter, who was convicted earlier this year on charges of defrauding the government, now faces drug charges.
According to a report from the Christian County Sheriff's Department, Klinefelter was arrested Monday (10-27), accused of possession of a controlled substance.
As reported here last April, the 62 year-old doctor and his wife, 60 year-old Geraldine Klinefelter, were found guilty of swindling the government out of over $100,000 in a Social Security Disability scheme.
