Area Arrests/Accidents 10/27/2014

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

 Savannah Secord, 20, of Taylorville, was arrested on October 24th for possession of drug paraphernalia. 

 Joshua Page, 32, of Taylorville was arrested on October 26th on a bond forfeiture warrant for possession of a controlled substance. 

 

 

ACCIDENT:

 On October 26, Nicholas R. Reber, 16, of Taylorvillw was traveling west bound on County Highway #2 approaching County Highway Highway #23.  Reber stated another vehicle was in front on him and slammed on their brakes to turn south on county highway#23.  Reber said he was not able to stop in time to avoid striking the other vehicle so he swerved to the right.  Reber left approximately 125 feet of skid marks on the roadway before entering the north ditch.  Reber continued west bound, approximately another 125 feet, in the ditch before striking a large embankment/culvert to a private drive.  Reber came to rest facing west.  He received major front end damage to his 2004 Dodge Stratus SE.  

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

 On October 24th, Joshua A. Page, of Taylorville, was arrested on a warrant. 

 

 

ACCIDNETS:

 On October 24th, Christel Wright, 77, of Taylorville advised she was approaching the intersection of Esther and Snodgrass when she wen to turn left onto Esther she turned her 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee too sharply and struck the front end of Allison D. Smith, 21, of Bulpitt.  Wright had damage to the front drivers side.  Smith advised she was traveling west on Esther and was approaching the stop sign at Esther and Snodgrass when she was struck by Wright when she made a sharp left turn.  Smith had damage to the front end of her 2007 Chevy Impala.  Smith's passengers were Timothy Esswein, 25, of Bulpitt,  Allayah Smith, 4, of Bulpitt, and Wyatt Graden, four months, of Bulpitt.
