Police Still Investigating Pana Robbery

In the wake of a busy period for area police agencies last week, the investigation continues into an armed robbery and apparent assault that took place early Wednesday morning in Pana.

In the second robbery there in just over a year, a masked man with a handgun walked into Shasteen's Convenience Store just before 2:00 am Wednesday. He reportedly stole an unknown amount of money after pistol whipping the clerk. She was sent to Pana Community Hospital.

The man is described as 5'10" to 5'11' tall, weighing 165 to 185 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing blue jeans and a black stocking cap. His face was covered by a dark bandana.

The incident is not believed to be connected to the robbery at the same store last year.

If you know anything about this crime, you are urged to contact authorities.
