Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 9-29-2014

THE TAYLORVILLE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THR FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

 Delbert Dilly, 40, of Taylorville was arrested on September 26 for driving with a suspended/revoked license. 

 Patience Sherman, 20, of Taylorville was arrested on September 26 for possession of a controlled substance. 

 Joseph Ishmael, 27, of Pana was arrested on September 28 on a bond forfeiture warrant for domestic battery. 

 Kaylene Reber, 25, of Taylorville was arrested on September 27 for Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol. 

 

ACCIDENTS:

On September 27, Jared Goodman, 45, of Taylorville was traveling south on County Highway #7 and crested the hill by 1450 North Road.  He said a deer ran into the roadway and he collided with the deer.  Goodman received damage to the front fender and hood. 

 On September 27, Angelina Smith of Taylorville was south bound on Illinois Route 48.  Smith lost control of her 2000 Dodge Coupe and slid across the north bound land of traffic striking the railroad ditch or the east side of the roadway. Her vehicle came to rest on its side.  Smith was transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for non life threatening injuries.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

 On September 26, a Taylorville police officer stopped a vehicle for IVC violation.  Upon investigation, Patience Sherman, 20, of Taylorville was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannibis < 2.5 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. 

 On September 27, Aaron C. Davis, 38, of Taylorville was arrested for theft of services. 

 On September 27 at approximately 3:54 am a Taylorville Police Officer was out with a vehicle in the parking lot of the Palomino Club after observing it traveling at a higher rate of speed on East Bidwell Stree.  The suspect, Karley R. State, 19, of Sherman was a front passenger and exited the passenger side door and walked around a parked car.  Later, Stade was located sitting in the parked car.  Further investigation led officers to believe she had been consuming alcohol.  State submitted to P.B.A. which showed an alcohol concentration of 0.123 percent.  She asked the officer to retrieve her purse from the parked car.  Inside the purse was drug paraphernalia.  Stade was processed and released on a Notice To Appear.  

 On September 26 at 8:22 am, An officer was dispateched to Taylorville High School in reference to a battery. Matt Hutchinson said a female juvenile struck another juvenile.  The female was transported to the Taylorville Police Department where she was processed and released to her parent. 

 On September 27 at approximately 3:54 am., a TPD was patrolling the intersection of North Cherokee Street and Bidwell Street.  The officer observed the vehicle approach the stop intersection and continue on East Bidwell Street at an elevated rate of speed that was confirmed with radar and the officer followed the vehicle to the parking lot of the Palomino Club.  Contact was made wiht the driver, Brian P. Jaeger, 24, of Taylorville.  After a brief investigation, Jaeger was arrested for DUI.  He was processed and released on a driver's license and cash bond.
