Farm Truck Rams Car

An accident with a farm truck Saturday afternoon (9-20) seriously damaged a Pana woman's car.

According to Pana Police reports, around 3pm Saturday, 61 year-old Linda J. Worker was stopped in traffic westbound, near the Pizza Man

Restaurant at the intersection of Jackson and Pine. Meanwhile 32 year-old Matthew L. Berner of Rosamond was approaching from behind in his 2003 International Farm truck.

Berner reportedly failed to slow down in time to avoid smashing into the rear right side of Worker's 2011 Chevy Impala. Police say the car was seriously damaged. Berner's truck sustained minor damage. Neither driver was reported injured.

Berner was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Despite the reported serious damage, Worker was apparently able to drive her car from the scene.
