In her report, Bailey Hancock, recreation director for the Taylorville Park District, announced the addition of a Tim Bell piano that was donated by Alan Jackson, an employee of the Taylorville Lake Department. The monthly park district meeting was abbreviated with very little new business to be enacted. Hancock also reported on the many activities that had taken place at the park, including a car show on the 7th, the Senior Dinner on Thursday the 11th with fried chicken donated by Wal-Mart, the Brooklynn Cox Memorial Run the 13th and on the 19th the Kids are Kids dance. Football at the Don Bragg Complex had also been very successful.
The Maintenance Superintendant reported on the construction of a new duck house and that the lights at the Bragg Complex are up and working. The board also decided on the date of Friday, January 9th, 2015, to hold their Employee Christmas Party. The meeting was adjourned at 7:12 pm.
