McDonald's restaurants in Taylorville, Pana, Shelbyville and Vandalia are giving away free coffee this week during National Coffee Week.
As part of promoting their McCafe coffees, they hid a 3-foot coffee cup in front of the Taylorville Fire Department on Monday morning, then clues were given during a live broadcast on Miller Media Group radio station WMKR Genuine Country 94-point-3 for listeners to find the cup. Patty Eller found the cup in less than an hour, and won free coffee for a year from McDonald's.
Eller visited with WMKR's Danny Russell, who broadcast his Morning Show from the Taylorville McDonald's, about finding the gigantic McCafe' coffee cup.
