Area Arrests/Accidents/Incidents 9/18/2014

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ACCIDENTS:

 On September 15, Robert Prater, 55, of Herrick was southbound on US. Rt. 51 south of Pana.  A southbound vehicle in front of Prater slowed in traffic to make a left turn.  Aaron Brookens, 27, of Pana was also southbound on US Rt. 51.  Brookens stated he did not see the other units slowing and struck Prater in the rear.  No injuries were reported.  Brookens received minor damage to his1995 Ford Taurus, and Prater received minor damage to his 1995 Ford Explorer.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene. 

 On September 15, John Clark, 24, of Maryland Heights, Missouri was northbound on Illinois Rt. 48 just south of 1000 East Road.  Brandon Rush, 29, of Taylorville was southbound n Illinois Rt. 48 in approximately the same area.  Rush lost control of his vehicle due to hydroplaning on the wet roadway.  He spun and struck the left front side of Clark.  No injuries were reported.  Rush was towed from the scene. 

  

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING:

 On September 17, officers were dispatch to 816 S. Wyandotte for a dog at large.  Subsequent to investigation, Judy Brown, 69, of Taylorville was given a city ordinance for dog running at large.
