Taylorville City Council Meets Monday Night

The Taylorville City Council meets in regular session Monday night at 7 at the Council Chambers inside City Hall.

Among major items on the council's agenda includes resolutions allowing police officers to participate in in-service training, an intergovernmental agreement with the Christian County Major Crimes Task Force as well as with the Village of Stonington to borrow equipment.

Aldermen will also consider an amendment with the engineering firm working on the proposed new water treatment plant; they'll consider re-zoning property at 1700 East Main Cross based on a recommendation from the Planning Commission; and amend city code for stop signs and also what liability property owners have for sewer repairs.

Several motions coming out of various committees, will also be brought up for action at Monday night's Taylorville City Council meeting.
