Gubernatorial Candidate Bruce Rauner last week announced, as part of his economic plan, that he would support a gradual increase in the minimum wage. Representative Wayne Rosenthal of Morrisonville does not agree:

The current minimum wage in Illinois is $8.25 per hour, higher than the federal minimum. Rauner is the Republican challenger to incumbent Governor Pat Quinn.
