Amanda Cole, Unit 18 County Extension Director, has introduced Lisa Peterson as their new Nutrition & Wellness Educator.  Peterson will represent the counties of Christian, Jersey, Macoupin, and Montgomery, which make up Unit 18.

Peterson is a native of Minnesota and is a graduate of South Dakota State University. Peterson had the opportunity to work with South Dakota State University in creating the Food Safety Scientist Virtual Labs and Curriculum, which teaches students basic scientific techniques while exposing them to careers in food safety and agriculture.
