July is National Ice Cream Month. It was designated by President Ronald Reagan in 1984. Joyce Fikri, nutrition educator for the St. Louis Dairy Council, tells Regional Radio News that there are differences in various frozen treats:

The most popular ice cream flavor is vanilla, followed by chocolate, Neapolitan, strawberry and cookies and cream.
