The annual Miss and Junior Miss Strasburg Pageant is now open for registration. The event will be held in conjunction with the annual Strasburg Hog Roast and Gnome-fest on Saturday, August 30.

The junior miss competition is open to young women who live in Strasburg or Stewardson and have completed the 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. Judging criteria will include: a brief interview with the judging panel, personal introduction on stage, modeling a dress of choice, raising money through decorated cans, and a response to a word as drawn out of a bowl.

The Miss Strasburg competition is open to young women who live in Strasburg and have completed 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade. Judging criteria will include: selling raffle tickets, speech/introduction, interview, modeling and a pop question.
