Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 6-19-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Alicia B. Bess, 29, of 500 Southeast 6th Street, Morrisonville, was arrested June 18 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Collin A. Shoemaker, 24, of 709 North Ridge Avenue, Taylorville, was arrested June 18 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.

Mary E. Tucker, 20, of 21 Hannon Trailer Court, Taylorville, was arrested June 18 on a bond forfeiture for failure to appear.


THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On June 18 at 4:28pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer made contact with Collin A. Shoemaker, 24, at his Taylorville residence. The officer knew Shoemaker to have a valid Christian County failure to appear warrant. Dispatch verified the warrant through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Shoemaker was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center.

On June 18 at 6:15pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer was on patrol when the officer observed Mary Tucker, 20, of Taylorville as a passenger in a vehicle traveling on Spresser. The officer knew Tucker to have a valid Christian County failure to appear warrant. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and made contact with Tucker. Dispatch verified the warrant through the Law Enforcement Agencies Data System. Tucker was placed under arrest and transported to Christian County Correctional Center.

On June 18 at 7:53pm, a Taylorville Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Poplar and Webster Streets. Following the stop, Jacqueline N. Brasche, 36, of Taylorville was arrested for driving while license suspended. Brasche was released on scene with a notice to appear.

CRASH:

On June 16 at 3:06pm, an unknown vehicle backed out of the drive at 1608 West Elm and struck the driver's side door panel of Diana Corso's vehicle. The unknown vehicle drove away from the scene without attempting to contact Corso. Corso said a motorist who was eastbound on West Elm stopped to tell Corso that she saw the vehicle back out, hit the Corso's vehicle, and then flee the scene. The motorist said the vehicle was being driven by 2 males and was a small pickup truck.
