The road across the main dam at Lake Shelbyville will not close for several days this week or next for dam gate maintenance and road work as previously reported. The work has been pushed back due to the weather forecasts. The new dates for the closures are yet to be determined. The road was supposed to close this week while large cranes used the road for an annual inspection of the tainter gates and then again next week for asphalt paving.
