Member Jack Pearce asked if they could have a representative from Enbridge come to a meeting to discuss the project with the Board. Chairman Schmitz said he would get in contact with Enbridge to see if a representative could attend the next meeting.

The Christian County Board approved a motion to allow an application to be sent for the COPS grant. Board member Fred Curtin says it will help the County hire a new deputy at the Sheriff's office:

The application is being worked on by Deputy Jeff Brown. If the grant is awarded, the County Board would need to vote to accept the grant.

The County Board approved a zoning ordinance that would allow Carl and Shirley Michel to build a private airstrip on their property located north of Tovey. Carl told the Board the property is isolated in terms of nearby neighbors and is just under a mile away from any major road so there should be minimal hazards. The Board's approval was just step one in the process as Carl and Shirley will still need to get approval from the State and the Federal Aviation Administration. The Board approved the election judges for the next two year election cycle. The Board also approved the prevailing wage ordinance.

The meeting adjourned at 6:50pm.
