The Illinois State Police report two people were sent to the hospital following a single vehicle accident early Sunday morning. Around 3:37am, 34-year-old Donald E. Riggs Jr. of Shelbyville was travelling eastbound on IL Route 16 just west of Christian County E 300N Road when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. His vehicle left the roadway to the right. The right front of vehicle struck the guardrail end. It then overturned and came to rest in the eastbound lane of IL Route 16. The passengers; 34-year-old Kevin E. Green of Pana and 37-year-old Shannon M. Miller of Pana were transported to Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
