When it comes to the insurance for school districts, empty school buildings such as South School have a direct impact. Taylorville Superintendent Dr. Gregg Fuerstenau says that's because insurance companies see those empty building as a liability. Dr. Fuerstenau also says the Board is working on a plan of what to do with South School:
