The Illinois budget this year includes good news for State employees: they will finally see some of the back pay owed to them. Representative Wayne Rosenthal says he's glad to see the workers get at least some of their pay:

The money has been owed for years, after Governor Quinn told employees that the legislature did not allocate money for their raises. A court order last year ordered that the money needed to be paid with interest.
