The Christian County Sheriff's Office reports that one person was sent to the hospital with minor injures following a 1-vehicle crash. On Sunday around 9:45pm, 18-year-old Austin W. Winchester of Taylorville was traveling northbound on 1359 East Road. Around 1254 North Road, Winchester reportedly saw a deer cross the road and swerved to avoid hitting it. Winchester went into the rock shoulder and lost control. Winchester went sideways in the road then went off the road again and into the ditch. Winchester's vehicle struck the end of a culvert causing the vehicle to roll over on it's top. Winchester stated he had a stiff neck and requested to be taken to the hospital. Winchester was then transported to Taylorville Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries. The vehicle had severe damage and was towed from the scene.
