Taylorville Kiwanis Club Holds Monthly Business Meeting at Weekly Luncheon

 width=The Taylorville Kiwanis Club held its monthly business meeting at its weekly luncheon Tuesday at the Taylorville Memorial Hospital auditorium.

Kiwanis committee chairs reported on work being done to benefit children and youth in the Taylorville community.

Kiwanis member chair Dean Ray reported that this year's membership recruitment drive begins next week, with 4 team leaders named.

Kiwanis Park chairman Jerry Woodard reported that netting in the playground area has been replaced, and bids are being tweeked towards a 2nd pavilion for the park.

Gary Skinner was approved as the newest member of the club, in the board meeting held before Tuesday's business meeting.

And also at that board meeting, the Taylorville Kiwanis Club committed one-thousand dollars toward the Christian County CEO high school entrepreneurship program start-up.
