(Taylorville)--The Miller Media Group radio stations in Taylorville now offers its listeners another way to keep up with breaking news, severe weather, local news and sports.

The group has partnered with Textcaster.com to provide free text alerts.

Listeners can opt-in for the free text alerts, by clicking the “free text alerts” icon at taylorvilledailynews.com.

Listeners can add or change which of the nearly 90 different text alerts they wish to get. Information being texted also includes school closings, boil orders, and high school sports scores.

The service is free to users, but standard texting rates apply. The Miller Media Group's free text alerts, is an extension of their long-running on-line daily newspaper, taylorvilledailynews.com.
