Lake Land College will offer three sessions of the Ag Institute this summer. Ag Institutes are designed for K-12 educators to learn about the impact agriculture has on our daily lives. Participants will tour Ag businesses and farms, meet with industry professionals, and engage in hands-on activities to gain first-hand knowledge they can share with their students as well as lesson plans relating to State of Illinois teaching standards.
Ag Institute I will run from June 9-11 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ag Institute II will meet June 16-18 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ag Institute III will be held from June 24 – 25 and participants will travel to St. Louis. Materials, transportation, lunch and entrance fees for the St. Louis trip are provided. Participants must cover the cost of the hotel and evening meals.
Both Ag Institute I and II will be held on the Lake Land College campus in West Building, room 136. There is no cost to attend the sessions, however registration is required.
