U.S. Reps. Rodney Davis of Taylorville and Joe Garcia of Florida have introduced The Empowering Encore Entrepreneurs Act of 2014. The bipartisan bill is aimed at offering assistance to entrepreneurs over the age of 50.

This bill will piggy-back off the Small Business Association’s recent collaboration with the AARP that provides counseling and training to entrepreneurs over 50 who want to start or grow a business. Given the need to extend and expand these and other similar programs, Rep. Garcia and Rep. Davis hope this piece of legislation will allow these programs to continue to grow and help our middle-aged business owners.
