Land of Lincoln Honor Flight (LLHF), headquartered in Springfield, Illinois, announces that they will be assisting in the closing of the Central Illinois Honor Flight (CIHF) hub of Effingham by accepting the remaining applications of Veterans on the CIHF roll.  LLHF’s President Joan Bortolon and past chairman & co-founder Ray Wiedle have been working closely with Don Niehart, the president of CIHF, to make this happen quickly and efficiently.   

LLHF has announced that their April 29^th and June 10^th flights are filled and all Veterans have been notified.  Additional flights are scheduled for September 16^th and October 28^th, however, with these new additions of waiting Veterans, another flight may be added in September or October.  The LLHF Executive Board will be meeting soon to discuss the new developments.
