(Taylorville)--The Miller Media Group today closed on the purchase of WINU AM 870 radio.  The station has been operating during daytime hours from a tower site east of Assumption, with programming from its former owner, New Life Evangelistic Center of St. Louis.

The station is being taken off the air immediately for work on the equipment at the Assumption tower site.

The Miller Media Group will provide details on what will be airing on AM 870, in the coming weeks.

The company owns and operates 5 stations serving the Taylorville, Pana, and Shelbyville markets, as well as 2 stations in Clinton.
