THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARREST:

Robert T. Sheddan, 42, was arrested May 1 for retail theft, aggravated battery, and criminal trespass.

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

On Wednesday around 9:05am, Taylorville Police Department along with ISP and the assistance of K9 Class #69 conducted a K9 search of Taylorville High School and all parking areas where students park their vehicles. K9 officer Echo performed a positive alert on a vehicle and the driver, Sheryce L. Long, 19, of Taylorville was escorted by school staff to the parking lot of the I Worship Center. Following the arrest, two metal smoking devices along with a container with a green leafy substance were located in the vehicle. Long was transported to Taylorville Police Department to be processed and the released back to THS on a notice to appear for possession of cannabis less then 10 grams.

On Wednesday around 9:05am, On Wednesday around 9:05am, Taylorville Police Department along with ISP and the assistance of K9 Class #69 conducted a K9 search of Taylorville High School and all parking areas where students park their vehicles. The suspect vehicle was parked along the roadway of the 1300 block of North Lawrence Street. After a positive alert by K9 officer Echo, a 17-year-old male juvenile was escorted by staff of THS to his vehicle. Following the arrest, the vehicle was searched and drug paraphernalia was located. Male juvenile was transported to Taylorville Police Department to be processed and released to his mother.
