House Committee to Re-Vote on Fund for Obama library

An Illinois House Executive Committee endorsed a plan last week to contribute $100 million in state funds toward the construction of a Barack Obama presidential library in Chicago but now that plan is being called for a re-vote. State Representative Bill Mitchell of Forsyth said the vote in the executive committee was unbelievable:

The proposal is being called back for a re-vote after Republican lawmakers pointed out the fact that they were not present for the original vote.

State Representative Adam Brown of Champaign says that given the current fiscal condition of the state of Illinois, it would be slap in the face to the hard working taxpayers in his district and around the state.
