Area Arrests/Crashes/Incidents 4-17-14

THE CHRISTIAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARRESTS:

Nicole L. Erwin-Gaynor, 22, of 407 West Broadway Street, Centralia, was arrested April 16 on a bond forfeiture for driving on a suspended/revoked license.

Gary E. Turvey, 55, of 2041 North 1300 East Road, Taylorville, was arrested April 16 for methamphetamine precursor. 

Rebecca E. Bayless, 36, of 59 Miller Lane, Taylorville, was arrested April 16 on a bond forfeiture for no seat belts.

Mitchell R. Neece, 31, of 1924 South Houston Street, Taylorville, was arrested April 16 for obstructing justice.

CRASHES:

On April 4, Lenora I. Siegrist of Taylorville was traveling northbound on County Highway 23 approaching 2550 North Road. Siegrist said that she was reaching down to turn the radio station and drove into the ditch. Siegrist drove 60 feet through the ditch before striking the embankment for 2550 North Road. When Siegrist struck the embankment, she then travled into the air landing in the middle of 2550 North Road. Siegrist continued north spinning out of control and struck the ditch on the north side of 2550 North Road. When Siegrist struck the ditch, she traveled 25 feet and then overturned. Siegrist was transported to St. John's Hospital for treatment of injuries.

 

THE TAYLORVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORTS THE FOLLOWING ARREST:

On April 16 at 5:46pm, a Taylorville Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Wantland Drive. Following the stop, Rebecca Bayless, 36, of Taylorville was arrested for a Christian County failure to appear warrant and Mitchell R. Neece, 31, of Taylorville was arrested for obstructing justice.
