The Shelbyville Rotary Club held their weekly meeting at the Shelbyville Memorial Hospital. Club secretary, Jim Bolinger, informed the Club that they have raised $512.26 for the Rotary Scholarship award, as of March 31.  The Club now has sufficient funds to make their award presentation at the Senior Awards Night.

Member, Phil Miller, announced that he has raffle tickets for sale, as a fundraiser for the Relay For Life. The winner will receive a pair of tickets to the Cubs vs. Cards game in St. Louis.

The program chairman was Don Behl.  His keynote speaker was Pat Boone.  Boone is the operations leader at the Pioneer Seed Plant, located next to the John Deere dealership east of town on Route 16.  They raise 150 varieties of soybeans locally.  These seeds are designed in Johnson, Iowa, in automated greenhouses.  The program chairman for next meeting will be Mike Kiley.
