Three people were handed jail sentences in drug related cases on Monday. 44-year-old Caralee Cooper of Taylorville was sentenced to 2 years at the Illinois Department of Corrections for a Class 4 felony of possession of a controlled substance. 36-year-old Jeffrey Patrick of Pana was sentenced to 9 years at the Illinois Department of Corrections for a Class X felony of aggravated participation in methamphetamine production. Finally, 22-year-old Aaron Ballion of Taylorville was sentenced to 6 years at Illinois Department of Corrections for a Class 1 felony of methamphetamine production.
