Three Cardinals have filed for salary arbitration. Outfielders Jon Jay and Peter Bourjos and infielder Daniel Descalso filed their paperwork with Major League Baseball on Tuesday. All three are seeking raises from the roughly 500-thousand-dollar salaries they each made last season.
Eight Cubs and two White Sox filed for arbitration on Tuesday. Darwin Barney, Justin Ruggiano, Nate Schierholtz, Luis Valbuena, James Russell, Jeff Samardzija, Pedro Strop and Travis Wood all filed for the Cubs. Gordon Beckham and Alejandro de Aza filed for the Sox.
