Governor Pat Quinn is pushing for an increase in the Illinois minimum wage. Representative Wayne Rosenthal of Morrisonville opposes the idea. He says in the long run, minimum wage increases do more harm than good:

Illinois’ current minimum wage is $8.25 per hour, a dollar higher than the federal minimum.
