Christian County Sheriff Lifts Snow Emergency Levels

Christian County Sheriff Bruce Kettelkamp announces on January 7th, 2014 that the snow emergency levels for Christian County roads have been lifted.

Sheriff Kettelkamp says that many County and Township roads are still snow packed and ice covered, remaining very hazardous in certain locations.

Residents are reminded of the extreme dangers of being exposed to 20 -30 below zero wind chill factors. The Sheriff would like to remind anyone who would happen to get stuck or go into a ditch, remain with their vehicle until help arrives.

When driving in extreme hazardous weather conditions, always make sure that your vehicle is completely full of fuel and that your cell phone is completely charged. Make sure that you have extra clothing and blankets in your car along with drinks and snacks.
