Blackhawks use power play to top Predators

Nashville,  TN (SportsNetwork.com) - Duncan Keith tallied a goal and an assist 
as   the  Chicago  Blackhawks  defeated  the  Nashville  Predators,  3-1,  at 
Bridgestone Arena. 

Patrick  Kane and  Nick Leddy supplied the other goals. Chicago has now scored 
power-play  goals  in 10 straight games  with Kane and Leddy both lighting the 
lamp on the man advantage. 

Antti  Raanta turned  aside  27-of-28 shots  as the Blackhawks  have won  two 
straight and five of their last six. 

Nashville  captain  Shea Weber scored  his team's  only goal and Carter Hutton 
allowed  all three goals  on 27 shots in the defeat, snapping a three-game win 
streak. 

Chicago scored quickly when Keith received a dish from Marian Hossa and ripped 
a shot from the blue line to beat Hutton 1:29 into the game. 

Nashville tied the game less than two minutes later. Marcus Kruger went off to 
the  box  for a face-off  violation. After Brent  Seabrook failed to clear the 
zone,  Roman Josi slipped  a pass over to Weber, who blasted the puck from the 
left circle on a one-timer past Raanta at 3:03. 

After  taking a  pass from  Patrick  Sharp, Kane  lifted a  backhand over  the 
shoulder  of Hutton on the power play for his 20th of the season with close to 
four minutes left in the first. 

Leddy  fired a shot from the left side of Hutton that quickly crossed the goal 
line  into the net  and flew out. The goal was originally waved off, but after 
further review it was deemed a good goal 11:33 into the second.

Chicago  is 19-0-3  when scoring first ... Nashville generated 17 shots in the 
first  period  ... Nashville  will play  in Tampa Bay  on Thursday ... Chicago 
hosts Vancouver on Friday.
