Lake Land College Foundation receives generous donation from Farm Credit Illinois

Farm Credit Illinois, based in Mahomet, recently gifted the Lake Land College Foundation $50,000 as the inaugural gift for a newly established Agricultural Division Endowment. The company has also committed an additional gift in the amount of $25,000 to establish the Farm Credit Illinois Endowment, and has committed $5,000 each year for the next five years to the Foundation. 

According to Dave Cox, director of the foundation and alumni, these gifts will be used to support the agriculture programs at the college in addition to supporting scholarships for agriculture students.

In exchange for the donation, Lake Land has agreed to name room 123 in the West Building the Farm Credit Illinois Learning Laboratory. The naming rights will be in effect from January 2014 through December 2025.
