A Shelbyville resident is collecting relief kits to help tornado victims in Washington. Kevin Bernson, who is originally from Washington, tells Regional Radio News how he got the idea:

Bernson says other needed items in the totes beside toiletries and snacks include work gloves, extra strength garbage bags, and flashlights. Again you can drop off the kits at the Shelby Electric offices on Route 128 or at Simply Yours on 119 E. Main Street in Shelbyville.
